12th lecture
Before the lecture, Rachel, Carmen, Alvin and I have the coaching with Prof. Udani. During the coaching, I remembered that Prof. Udani asked us our purpose of life. Actually, Prof. Udani have asked us this question before. I also think about this question for a long time. It is because our life is limited and it is very important for us to find out our purpose of life. Actually, I know that I have many things want to do, but life is limited and I can not do all the things that I want to do, I need to choose. Besides, if you ask me what is my purpose. To be honest, until now, I still feel confuse and I do not know what will I choose to do. Whatever I choose to do in the future, I will always remember I need to be useful to others but not use others.
In the beginning of the class, Prof. Udani give Rachel, Alvin, Carmen and I to share something, thanks Prof. Udani.
Then, Prof. Udani awarded ten top blogs! Congratulation!!!!!
Also, Prof. Udani invented a "HC clap", I like it so much. I think that it is a good way to show our encouragement!!
Next, we had an exciting game: "Pik Pek Boom", in this game, Prof. Udani asked us to group with some people that we are not very familiar and seldom talk to. I think that after this game, we can get more familiar.
After the game, the people who lost the game had buy some snacks to the winners. Since we are a family, we share the snacks together.

This time may be the last time to update my blog before the exam, because I need to have the exam!!!!!.....ADD OIL!!!...my dear classmates!!! Let us put our whole heart and mind to prepare the exam!!!...

Wonderful workshop---we "can"
Last Saturday, we held our workshop successfully! During the workshop, I can see that all of us(HC students and participants) put our whole heart and mind in the workshop.
In the beginning, we had the ice-breaking game, Steve held the game very well and all participants can get familiar with each other though the game.
Then, some students introduce the theories that we have learned to the participants. During the discussion, all of us can express the ideas. Also, though the encouragement, many of the participants are brave enough to share their opinions in front of us.
Then, we can use the theories that learned to the drama part and team building activity part(build ballon tower).
Actually, though this workshop, I can learned how to encourage others. Thanks for having Andrea to be my partner(facilitator of group red). I think that she is good at how to motivate others and I can also learn that though this workshop.

HC Forum & The tenth lecture
This Wednesday, we had a news discussion forum and the topic is coal mine accident. Since a serious coal mine accident was happened in ShanXi recently, it is the time for us to reflect about it.
In the beginning, James did a introduction for us to review this accidents.
The discussion was divided into two parts. In the first part, we were divided into two groups. We need to think about if we were the coal mine owner or the safety department head, what should we do? Actually, even think about the same thing, if we stand in the different position, we may have different opinions.
After that, we had a debate part. Since this is a serious coal mine accident, also, compare to others countries, the number of coal mine accident and the number of people died in the accident, China is much higher, what we must think is not just how to save the people from the coal mine, we must think that how to prevent the accident. The debate topic is: Should the death penalty use for the people who are responsible for the coal mine accident?
Although during the debate, there are many different opinions among us, this is just one of the methods to solve the problem. I think that as a future leader; we should reflect more about why the people will use others life to exchange money. Sometimes, when people want to get money, they may forget the responsibility. So, as a future leader, we should always remind ourselves that we should be responsible to the society. Also, we may consider everything with standing in others’ side.
Later, we have our regular class, tenth HC class!
In the beginning of the class, Professor Udani show us the expectation we wrote in the beginning of the semester. It is good for us to review what we wrote and check if we are still continues to achieve the goal we set or not. Sometime, we set many goal to ourselves in the beginning, but we forget many of them very soon. So, when we set the target, I think that it is better for us to check it frequently for the purpose of not forgetting.
Then, Professor Udani asked us to give encouragement to one of our classmates. Actually, I think that encouragement is really important. Encouragement will give you energy to insist to do what you want to do. Also, give encouragement to others, both of us will feel happy and it is also good for our friendship!
So, don’t be mean! From now on, let us always give encouragement to each others!!^^

The ninth lecture !!!
In the beginning, Dean shared something which is about our study aboard program with us. He said that many of the Universities and Colleges in US are interested in joining our program. Also, there is some requirement for us. For the purpose of ensuring that the students can enjoy the study aboard program, all of the students who want to go to those Universities and Colleges need to get a good mark in the examination of TOFEL or IELTS. Although I am a law student and I will not go to US to study aboard, I also think that good English skill is very important. Actually, because of my major, the majority of the professor use Chinese during the lesson of law. So, there is very little opportunity for me to practice my English in my Faculty. Improving English is one of my purposes in HC class. Besides, for the purpose of going to Portugal for studying aboard, I need to improve my Portuguese. Since I have just learned Portuguese for few years, sometimes, it is very difficult for me to communicate with native speakers, because they speak very fast. And I know that if I want to go to Portuguese, I need to know how to communicate with them. Also, my major is law; in fact, some terms of law are very difficult to understand, even in Chinese language. I think that it is more difficult for me to understand the terms of law in Portuguese.
BUT….
Actually, I don’t really worry about the above problem.
WHY??????
Do you remember Rachel’s motto that she shared in last class? She said that if you trust you can, you can.
So, I believe that if I trust I can, than I will put all my efforts to practice my Portuguese, than I can overcome all problems. I believer that if I work hard, nothing is impossible!!!
Also, we have one summer to practice. So, Don’t worry! However, for the purpose of study aboard, I think that the most important thing that I need to do now is work hard and work hard. I need to achieve a good academic result. (Surely, I know that work hard and get a good academic result is not just for study aboard)
Work hard is the unique way to success, So, let’s work hard together!! But, don't forget to relax!!
After that, Prof. Udani showed us a very interesting and funny video. The video recorded our performances which was delivering the leadership messages and Prof. Udani decorated it very funny.
I saw that everyone laughed during the movie, me too!!. Thanks Prof. Udani!!!
Later, we were given a lesson by Dr. Wong King Keung, one of the founder of University of Macau.
I really appreciate him, because he had just done the eye surgery last week and he still came here to share his experience to us.
Actually, I has learned many things from his sharing.
Firstly, he told us that don’t be over confident, many people are better than you. Actually, we know that the best is non-existed in the world. Although we should be confident, over confident makes us regress. I think that it is similar to a Chinese motto: “modest makes people progress and proud makes people regress”.
It means if we think that we are good enough, we will feel satisfactory and may be we will not continue to work hard. However, if we think that we are not very good, we will work hard, because we want to be better.
So, be modest.
Also, he mentioned that some people lack of inner quality, even good at academic. It makes me remembering that Prof. Udani told us that we should have beauty inside in last class!
Actually, I think that some advantages are very easy to discover by others, such as good academic result. However, there are some advantages more difficult to discover by others, and the others will just know that though deeper understanding the person, for example, this person have beauty inside or not. Therefore, we should not just good at something that is easy to discover by others, we should let the others feel that we are a really good person and can be a good friend for them.

The eighth lecture! ^^
In the beginning of this class, I found that there was a "snake" on my desk. Actually, before the class, I saw that who put the "snake" on my desk was Alvin.
Later, I knew that that “snake”is belong to Pro. Udani, and he wanted to let us know that effects is divided to positive effects and negative effects. What we should make is just positive effects.
Also, Pro. Udani share a song which called the beauty and the beast to us. Actually, this song seems very familiar to me. It is because I like this cartoon very much when I was a child. I think that many of my classmates have the same feeling to me.
Yes! This song tell us that beauty inside is very important. If we have beauty inside, we can have a good relation with others. Actually, when I first meet a person, I will guest his interior by observing his exterior. However, if I have opportunity to chat with this person and know more about him, I always found that my guess is wrong. Therefore, I think that we can not know the interior of a people by just looking his face. In fact, I think that if I can just choose one beauty (beauty inside or beauty outside), I will choose beauty inside. It is because I consider if one person with beauty inside, everyone will want to be his friend, because others will feel comfortable to communicate with him. Therefore, this person will have many friends and he will feel happy every day.
For this reason, I have a dream after listen this song: I want to be more beautiful (beauty inside).

After that, Pro. Udani told us some interesting and meaningful things to us.
-WHAM, it means Whole Heart And Mind. He told us that we should do everything with Whole Heart And Mind. That is true! Whatever we do, we can just have best outcome if we do our best; we can just achieve our goals if we put our Whole Heart and Mind. We can just be a true HC student if we do everything with as many as efforts we can put. With our whole efforts, I believe that everything we do will have good quality.
-WHAW means Work Hard and Well. Work hard is necessary, but not enough! Work well is also important! Normally, if we work hard, the outcome will be good. However, sometimes we work many hard, but we can not get a satisfactory result. When we face to this, we should not give up. We should persist on it and trust that if we word harder and harder, the result will become better and better. Work Hard can not always get a good result, but do not work hard will never get a good result! That is the true world! So, Don’t give up! Work hard is always better than lazy.
At last, Pro. Udani prepared a box for lucky draw. He said that he will find five or six students to give others some positive message and encourage others. However, almost all of us need to share^^!! That's a trick!
No name in the slips of paper and he just called our name randomly!
Actually, though this sharing, we get many encouraging message! Moreover, I also think that it is a good chance for us to express ourselves. In this sharing, I have shared something that I get from the handout. When I received the handout, I felt that H for Hard work and C for change is very interesting! Yes! HC students should be hard-working, and the purpose of hard-working is change, change and change! We want to be better!
